Seven Monthly Feature Films in the Mini-Parks—and More—Through October

VINELAND, NJ—Main Street Vineland will kick off its monthly Fourth Fridays on the Ave series with a free showing of the blockbuster movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story—the exciting latest film in the Star Wars franchise. It will take place on April 28, starting at dusk, at mini-park at the southwest corner of Landis Avenue and the Boulevard, in Vineland. The rain location for the movies will be inside Landis MarketPlace, 631 E. Landis Ave., Vineland.
This will be the opening of an exciting schedule of seven feature films—family, action, and children’s films—that will take place there the fourth Friday each month through October. The Fourth Fridays event mix will also include shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities.
The major sponsor of the film series is Members 1st of NJ Federal Credit Union.
Please bring a chair and/or blanket for the movie. Parents must remain with their children.
The 2016 hit feature Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is the eighth film in the Star Wars franchise was also the first installment of the Star Wars Anthology series. The movie is about a group of rebels who are on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star—the Galactic Empire’s superweapon. It stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan, Tudyk, Jiang Wen, and Forest Whitaker.
The film was released to high acclaim.
Sandie Angulo Chen, said in Common Sense Media, “This is the Star Wars story you were looking for but may not have known it.” James Dyer said on the Empire website, “The ultimate Star Wars fan film…when it gets going there’s enough risk-taking and spectacle to bode well for future standalones.” In Variety, Peter Debruge wrote, “For the original generation of Star Wars fans who weren’t sure what to make of episodes one, two, and three, Rogue One is the prequel they’ve always wanted.”

Me Before You—This British-American romantic comedy-drama is about a girl in a small town who forms an unlikely bond with a recently-paralyzed man of whom she has taken care. It stars Emilia Clarke, Sam Claflin, Steve Peacocke, Jenna Coleman, Charles Dance, Matthew Lewis, Janet McTeer, Vanessa Kirby, and Joanna Lumley.
The Lego Batman Movie—This 2017 3D computer-animated superhero film is a spin-off installment of The Lego Movie. In this film, Batman tries to overcome his greatest fear to stop the Joker’s latest plan. He does this as he finds that he has accidentally adopted a teenage orphan who wishes to become his sidekick. Will Arnett plays Batman, with the other major characters voiced by Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, and Ralph Fiennes.
Finding Dory—This 2016 Walt Disney 3D computer-animated comedy-drama adventure is a sequel-spinoff of the 2003 hit Finding Nemo. It is the story of an amnesiac fish, Dory, who goes on a journey to be reunited with her parents. Like the earlier film, it features the voices of Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks, along with Hayden Rolence, Ed O’Neill, Kaitlin Olson, Ty Burrell, Diane Keaton, and Eugene Levy.
Iron Man 3—This 2013 superhero film tells Tony Stark (the Iron Man) whose world is now being torn apart by a formidable terrorist known as the Mandarin and who starts a process of rebuilding and retribution. The film stars Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, and Ben Kingsley.
Fences—This 2016 Oscar-winning drama concerns a working-class African-American father who tries to raise his family in the 1950s, while coming to terms with the events of his life. The cast stars Denzel Washington (who also directed), as well as Viola Davis, Stephen Henderson, Jovan Adepo, Russell Hornsby, Mykelti Williamson, and Saniyya Sidney.
The Good Dinosaur—This 2015 Walt Disney 3D computer-animated drama adventure is set on a fictional Earth in which dinosaurs never became extinct. A young Apatosaurus named Arlo meets an unlikely human friend, while traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape. The film features the voices of Raymond Ochoa, Jack Bright, Sam Elliott, Anna Paquin, A.J. Buckley, Steve Zahn, Jeffrey Wright, and Frances McDormand.
