PUT ON THAT UGLY SWEATER AND YUCK IT UP WITH US
Our Ugly Sweater Night Meet-and-Greet & Comedy Show Fundraiser
At Mauro’s on The Ave on December 7
Do you have an ugly sweater gathering dust hidden somewhere in your clothes closet? Well, here’s your chance to take it out, dust it off, and give it one more wearing. Come fully attired in that garment to Main Street Vineland’s Ugly Sweater Night Meet-and-Greet & Comedy Show Fundraiser on Thursday evening, December 7, at Mauro’s on The Ave, at 830 E. Landis Ave.
From 5:30 to 7 p.m., we’ll have a Meet-and-Greet, free and open to the public, in the downstairs restaurant area where Main Street Vineland representatives and volunteers, downtown merchants, and the public can network. We’ll have an Ugly Sweater Contest there, with the person wearing the ugliest sweater winning a prize.
But then you’ll really want to go upstairs to the ballroom for our super Comedy Show Fundraiser. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the show will start at 8 p.m. The donation for the Comedy Show Fundraiser is $20 ($15 if you wear an ugly sweater), and as Main Street Vineland is a 501©3 entity, donations may be tax-deductable. Proceeds will benefit the many programs, events, and initiatives of Main Street Vineland’s downtown revitalization efforts. You can get tickets online at www.TheAve.biz, at Mauro’s on The Ave, and at the Main Street Vineland office, 603 E. Landis Ave.—or by calling 856-500-8628 or the Main Street Vineland office at 856-794-8653.
And, you’ll really yuck it up! The show’s headliner will be comedian/ventriloquist/magician Gemini, who combines stage illusion, dance, comedy, romance, audience participation, ventriloquism, and great fun into one astonishing show. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he developed there a quick and clean sense of humor. He started performing at age 11 and was soon noticeably capable of bringing a crowd to tears of laughter. Prompted by his peers and professionals, he began a career in comedy. In his successful climb to the top, he began to study dance and choreography to enhance his ebullient comedic talent.
The show will also feature singer/storyteller Jersey Bill, as well as comedian Ken Camp of the South Jersey DEVILer. The show is rated PG-17.
Come out and have tons of fun for a great cause—just the way to get in a happy mood for the holiday season.
