The Downtown Merchants Meet-and-Greets, held every other month on the first Thursday, are meant to bring the various downtown businesses together to get to know and network with each other, and with Main Street Vineland representatives, according to Main Street Vineland Executive Director Russell Swanson. As the Meet-and-Greets are open to the public, it is also an opportunity for the public and the merchants to get to know and network with each other, he said.
June Meet & Greet -- June 1st, 5:30-7:00 pm at Members 1st of NJ FCU, 37 W. Landis Avenue
Enjoy a Variety of Tantalizing Dining Special from May 7 Through 14
Sharpen up your taste buds again and join us on another around-the-world gastronomic tour without leaving downtown Vineland.
You won’t have to worry about expensive plane flights or boat trips, long rides, hotel accommodations, or any of that. All you have to do is head down to The Ave between Sunday, May 7 and Sunday, May 14. We’ll take care of the rest as “Dine on The Ave”—our downtown restaurant week—returns.
We’re extremely lucky and fortunate that we have a downtown so rich in ethnic cuisines
A key component to downtown revitalization is not only filling available properties on The Ave, but also filling them with quality, sustainable businesses and, likewise, creating quality living downtown living space.
To do this, we have created several initiatives, and one that has yielded real dividends we have done it so far has been our Realtor Tour on The Ave—a project of our Economic Vitality Team. The fruit this initiative has borne over the previous three times we have done the tour can be seen in some of the results. The first time it was done, we saw five of the properties we showed rented. Another tour resulted in Mauro’s on the Ave, The Ave’s latest restaurant and lounge, which opened last year next to the Landis Theater.
On Saturday, November 26th, Downtown Vineland hosts one of its biggest events of the year, the annual Main Street Vineland Holiday Parade. The parade starts at 5:00pm at downtown Landis Avenue
In the event of rain, the parade will be held on Sunday, November 27th starting at 5:00 p.m. The decision to postpone the parade to the rain date will be made by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26th. Please listen to WVLT 92.1 FM for postponement information or call the Main Street Vineland office at 856-794-8653 and listen to the message.
Downtown Vineland unveiled our new brand, The Ave, to a crowd of over 200 at the Landis Theater on October 20. Part of the fun was grabbing a selfie with the new logo so they could be shared on social media. Check out some of the photos here, and read more about the launch here.
If you missed the launch, come by our office one day soon to get your own selfie, and be sure to tag it #theavevld when you share it on social media.
Main Street Vineland will be formally launching the rebranding of downtown Vineland for the future at a gala launching party on Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Landis Theater, 830 E. Landis Ave.
This free event, which will begin at 5:30 p.m., will be a high-energy, high-impact event which will result in a new logo and new image for Landis Avenue and the downtown. The major sponsor for the event is Premier Orthopaedic Associates, with Capital Bank of New Jersey as the reception and networking sponsor.
Soon after the formal launch, the new logo and brand will appear on new banners, signs on both ends of the downtown, on a new sculpture to be designed, new letterhead, business cards, a newly-designed website, and other items.
From time to time, someone will ask me, “What is Main Street?”
They know of Main Road. They know that Landis Avenue is the main street of Vineland. They know that Millville has a main artery named Main Street. But where’s Main Street in Vineland?
“Main Street,” in the way that it is used in “Main Street Vineland” isn’t the name of a specific street. It’s the name of a national program that is part of the National Main Street Center, which, in turn, is a subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. It has been in existence on a national scale for over 35 years.
