We are proud to announce who we will be recognizing at our A Taste of Vineland & Volunteer Recognition Event on Wednesday, October 25 from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Greenview Inn at Eastlyn Golf Course. 4049 Italia Ave., Vineland. We recognize those who have worked closely with Main Street Vineland on its projects and initiatives. Carl Hemple, who has been actively involved in running our annual Christmas Parade for many years will receive the “Volunteers of the Year” Award. Carl has worked tirelessly for years to make one of Vineland’s largest and most adored events the best it can be.
James Neher, Director of Public Works along with Alexis Gomez, Supervisor of the Landis Avenue crew, and his workers, Josh Rodriquez and Charlie Lopez are being recognized as the “Community Partners” for their dedication to our downtown district’s cleanliness and upkeep. Aside from keeping our sidewalks, streets, alleys, and parking lots clean and safe, they also keep our flowers and greenspace watered, weeded, and looking great all season long. They assist us with all our downtown events and go beyond the extra mile in everything that they do.
Sandra (Sandy) Forosisky is being recognized with our Lifetime Achievement Award. This award was established last year to honor posthumously longtime volunteer Sam Levy with the idea that in ensuing years well deserving people may be honored as well with this distinguished award. Sandy has been supporting Main Street Vineland since its inception. Her tireless efforts and support continue to allow us to carry out the many missions and visions of the Vineland Downtown Improvement District.
More will follow about our honorees in future columns.
We are also proud to announce that the major sponsors of this event, now in its 12th year, are First Choice Freezer & Cold Storage and M & O Freezer & Cold Storage.
Many of Vineland’s finest restaurants will be offering samples of their delicious signature dishes—main courses, appetizers, and desserts—as well as a fabulous silent auction and much more. We’ll also be recognizing those of our Main Street Vineland volunteers and partners who have contributed greatly to the work of our organization. Tickets are now available for sale and additional sponsorship opportunities are available as well as ad space in the event program book. More information
