Our annual A Taste of Vineland & Volunteer Recognition Event, which will return for its 13th year on Wednesday, October 23 from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Greenview Inn at Eastlyn Golf Course. 4049 Italia Ave., Vineland. The major sponsor of this event is Levari Industries. Many of Vineland’s finest restaurants under will be offering samples of their delicious signature dishes—main courses, appetizers, and desserts—as well as a fabulous silent auction and much more. I can assure you, no one will leave hungry!
We’ll recognize those who have worked closely with us on our projects and initiatives including the giving of a “Volunteer of the Year” award. A “Business Partner of the Year” award will also be given for their close collaboration with us.
This year we will be honoring Marvin Askins and his Cruise Down Memory Lane Committee as our Volunteers of the Year. Marv has served as the Chair of this hard working team of individuals who have hosted the Cruise in downtown Vineland for over a quarter century. This is arguably the largest public event that is hosted in the City of Vineland with up to 10,000 spectators and 1,000 cars.
Our Business Partner of the Year award this year is also a very well deserving recipient – Sir Speedy and its owner, Alison Troarelli. Alison has been a true partner of the VDID in assisting us with our printing needs for many years. She goes above and beyond in her generosity and help in whatever we need. She has a big heart and a very giving spirit.

One of downtown Vineland’s major events of the year will again bring added festivity to the Thanksgiving weekend as our Christmas Parade returns to The Ave on Saturday, November 30, at 5 p.m., with the rain date of Sunday, December 1, at the same time. This year’s parade will not have any specific theme other than “Christmas”. Friends of Michael Testa Jr. for State Senate will be the major sponsor.
It will feature a float contest, marching bands, and much more. More information, registration for participates, and vendor applications will be through the Main Street Vineland website.
